Crackdown on Traffic Violations in the Capital Leads to 2,085 Cases
In a recent development in the capital city, Dhaka, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Department has reported a staggering 2,085 cases of traffic violations across various areas. According to Mohammad Talebur Rahman, the Deputy Commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Department at DMP, the crackdown unfolded on Wednesday afternoon. Eight units of the DMP’s Traffic Department were deployed to conduct operations, resulting in the filing of the aforementioned cases. Additionally, as part of the initiative, 81 vehicles were impounded for illegal dumping, while three vehicles were seized for reckless driving.
