flower-arch-on-the-road-a-beautiful-addition-to-streetscape

Alright, so this road is like a flower archway. It’s in Moulvibazar, carrying memories of the glorious days of the Liberation War. Today, this path is blood red! The fresh madness of Krishnachura blooms all over.

Along this path, the land is bound! It’s as if touching it has made the Krishnachura even redder. This special stretch of tree-lined beauty in Shreemangal, known as Vhanugach Road, was not like this before. A tree lover named Barun took the initiative to beautify this path. He loves flowers, trees, and nature fiercely.

About ten years ago, this tree lover’s initiative has become a prominent feature in the development of the beauty of Shreemangal. The flower lover is a man named Golam Mohammad Shibli. The twisted path through the tea gardens of Bhurbhuriya Tea Estate in Shreemangal is known as Shreemangal-Vhanugach Road. From Badhyabhumi to the point of Bangladesh Tea Research Institute (BTRI), on both sides of the road, various large trees of different species are planted. The extraordinary sight of red, yellow, golden flowers from a distance. Krishnachura, Radhachura, and many other species of flower plants.

All these trees, with their red, yellow, and golden beauty, create a unique environment. Travelers, tourists, nature lovers who walk along this path are mesmerized by these scenes of blooming flowers. Some are busy taking photos. The trees, with their blood red, yellow, and golden flowers, have created a diverse environment. These flowering trees shine brightly, merging with nature.

As a tree lover, Golam Mohammad Shibli has planted about 700-800 trees individually in various places of the tea garden over the past ten years. These trees have gradually enhanced the beauty of nature. Golam Mohammad Shibli is a senior tea planter by profession. He has dedicated his entire life to tea. Engaged in the tea gardens, he has fallen in love with nature. He is a true nature lover in the evergreen nature of Shreemangal. He is also the Chairman of the Sylhet branch of the Bangladesh Tea Association.

He says, “I planted trees because I love it. In 1015-2016, I planted various types of flower plants such as Krishnachura, Radhachura, Sonalu, etc., on both sides of the road.” Besides, I have planted another beautiful flower plant named Cassia Javanica in special places. These have gradually grown into large trees, displaying a different kind of beauty with each flower blooming. I implement a tree planting program every year during the rainy season.

Trees are our nature’s greatest friends. The majority of nature is trees. And if nature is good, we will be good too, showing us that trees are nature’s friends.
