The operation took place in front of a restaurant at Monihar Mor on Wednesday night, where the “robbers” were caught.

Among those arrested were Bilal Molla, son of a resident of Chhogharia Gram in Shailkupa Upazila of Magura district, Tariqul, son of Abdul Haque Kazi, Jasim Uddin, son of the late Habibur Rahman from Sanda Talukdar Gram in the same Upazila, Bisu, son of Khorshed Alam from Birampur in Jashore Sadar Upazila, Arifuzzaman, son of Jonnal Abedin from Ramnagar Mudli Khan Para, Akbar Gazi, son of Abdul Sattar Gazi from Chanchra Bhatudia Gram, Mahasin Ali alias Alam, son of Abu Hossain Gazi from Benapole Port Thana’s Bagmari Gram, Saheb Ali, son of Shamshul Haq from Kalaroa Upazila in Satkhira district, and Bilal Gazi, son of Badsha Gazi from Chitla Gram in Kolaroa Upazila.

The Jashore District Police issued a press release at 11:00 PM, informing the public about the arrests. According to the police statement, the suspects were involved in various criminal activities, including theft and robbery in and around Jashore. This time, they were caught in the act of preparing for a robbery, a departure from their usual modus operandi.

The police revealed that based on the suspects’ confessions, a stolen Easy Bike from Benapole was recovered. The bike was used in a theft in Moniram Pur in Jashore. The case has been registered at the Kotwali Model Police Station in Jashore. The owner of the Easy Bike, Badi, has filed a separate case in this regard.
