Apparently, this wild incident went down in the Khalur bazaar area of Panchgachhia Union in Feni Sadar Upazila. The whole thing happened on Thursday night, May 1st, and like, it’s causing a whole lot of drama with videos of the incident going viral on social media. And then, instead of like, dealing with the teens through legal channels, the villagers organize this whole event where they publicly shame and physically assault the moms of these teenagers. Like, talk about taking matters into your own hands, right?
Locals are saying that the whole setup to shame these teens and their moms is like, totally sketchy and not cool. Like, accusing someone’s mom of a crime that the teens supposedly committed is like, not the way to go about things, you know? The whole situation is just like, not right.
And then, we hear from this advocate in Feni District Court, Rahima Khatoon, who’s like, “Hey, you can’t punish one person for the crime of another.” Like, no duh, right? Publicly shaming someone’s mom for something the teens allegedly did is like, totally not cool, man.
