Tragic Loss of Two Workers in Separate Road Accidents in Kalihati
In the quiet town of Kalihati, tragedy struck as two workers lost their lives in separate road accidents. The incidents occurred on Friday, March 14th, with one taking place at 3 p.m. on the Kashturipara Singna regional road and the other at 8 p.m. in Jokarchar Balurghat. The victims were identified as a teenager named Liton, hailing from Sattar Mia’s son from Kuturia village in the same upazila. Unfortunately, the name of the other worker remains unknown.
Imam, the Sub-Inspector of Kalihati Police Station, shared the heartbreaking details of the accidents. In the first incident, Liton was struck by a truck carrying sand on the Balubhorti route of Kashturipara Singna regional road. The impact was fatal, and he succumbed to his injuries on the spot. His lifeless body was subsequently taken to Tangail General Hospital for post-mortem examination. The legal proceedings are underway to address this tragic loss.
On the other hand, in Jokarchar Balurghat, another worker met with a fatal accident involving a truck. However, the authorities have yet to confirm the identity of this victim.
