On Thursday evening (16th January), a fatal accident occurred on the Dhaka-Mothbaria road near Mollabari in Shankarpasha, Pirojpur Sadar Upazila. The deceased were identified as Riad Kazi (27), son of Kamal Kazi from Shankarpasha area, and Shahin Hossain, son of Anwar Hossain from Parer Hat area in Jiannagar (Indurkani) Upazila.
According to local sources, in the evening, a bus from Dhaka heading towards Mothbaria lost control near Mollabari in Shankarpasha, causing it to veer off the road and hit three people standing nearby. They sustained serious injuries. The locals rescued them and rushed them to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared two of them dead.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pirojpur Sadar Police Station, Mo. Sobahan Hossain, informed that the bus driver has been apprehended, and efforts are underway to detain him further.
