Police Team Emerges Victorious in National Lacrosse Championship
In a thrilling display of athleticism and skill, the Bangladesh Police emerged as the champions in the men’s category of the ‘Walton First National Lacrosse Championship-2025’. The final match, held on a sunny afternoon at the artificial turf of Bafufer, saw the Police team triumph over Jisan Sports Club with a commanding score of 7-2, securing the coveted title.
Outstanding Performance and Individual Achievements
The Police team showcased exceptional teamwork and determination throughout the tournament, with Shahin being named the top scorer in the men’s category after scoring an impressive 16 goals. Their victory marks a significant milestone in the history of lacrosse in Bangladesh, highlighting the talent and dedication of the players.
In the women’s category, Sharieatpur District Women’s Team emerged as the champions, followed by Dhaka District Women’s Team in the second position and Narayanganj District Women’s Team in the third position. Lippi Akhtar from Dhaka District Women’s Team was recognized as the top scorer in the women’s category, further underscoring the remarkable talent displayed in the championship.

The championship also honored the champions and runners-up in both categories with trophies and medals, recognizing their hard work and commitment to the sport. The awards ceremony was presided over by F.M. Ikbal Bin Anwar (Don), Advisor (Sports) of Walton, along with other dignitaries and officials from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Bangladesh Lacrosse Association.
