President Liton and Editor Mamun of Court Reporters Unit: Main Focus

Dhaka: The newly appointed 11-member executive committee of the Court Reporters Unit (CRU) in Dhaka’s lower court has been announced. This committee, formed for the next year, has appointed Liton Mahmud, senior reporter of DBS News, as the president, and Mamun Khan, staff reporter of RisingBD, as the general editor.

On Tuesday (January 21), Advocate Prashant Kumar Karmakar, the organization’s advisor, announced the committee at the organization’s permanent office in the old Dhaka court area.

In this committee, Emrul Hasan Bappy, a reporter for the Daily Star, has been appointed as the vice president, Masud Rana, the assistant editor of Kaler Kantho, as the joint editor, Advocate Ariful Islam as the organizational secretary, Naimeur Rahman Nabil, the treasurer of Dhaka Post, as the finance secretary, Azharul Islam Sujon, the senior reporter of Janakantha, as the information and public relations secretary, Mahiuddin Khan Rifat, the correspondent of Jago Bangla and Bangla News, as the publicity secretary, and Roki Ahmed, the correspondent of Kalbela, as the information technology and training editor.

The committee’s executive members include Advocate Khademul Islam, senior reporter of Bangla News, and Taslim Hossain (Roni), the correspondent of Independent TV.
