Improving Service Quality at Central Police Hospital: IG’s Directive for Better Care
In a bid to enhance the quality of service at the Central Police Hospital in Rajarbag, Dhaka, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has issued directives for healthcare professionals to uphold professionalism, empathy, and dedication.
On Tuesday, after concluding inspections of various departments of the Central Police Hospital in Rajarbag, the IGP held a meeting with doctors, staff, and employees for a productive exchange of ideas.
During the meeting, the IGP listened to the input from busy healthcare professionals and expressed gratitude to doctors and nurses for their medical services to police personnel and their families.
Challenges Faced by Central Police Hospital
Currently, the Central Police Hospital caters to nearly four thousand police personnel and their family members daily for medical services. On average, around one and a half thousand police personnel undergo pathological tests daily. Moreover, last year, the ophthalmology department successfully concluded 712 operations, with 6,467 operations in other departments.
The Inspector General of Police inspected various departments such as digital healthcare services (registration, OPD, consultation, medicine store, report delivery, etc.), emergency department, radiology and imaging, ICU, dialysis units to ensure efficient operation.
During the inspection, he observed the process of providing medical services to police personnel and their family members and provided necessary guidance.
Presence of High-Ranking Officials
At the time, the Director General of Central Police Hospital, Sardar Nurul Amin, additional Director General (administration and finance) Dr. Md. Emadadul Haque, and Superintendent Dr. A.B.M. Khorshed Alam were present.
