There were a total of 40 passengers on the bus, including teachers and students.

Sergeant Jia Uddin from the Jorarganj Choudhurihat Highway Police Station reported that with the help of locals, the bus driver and the injured students were rescued and sent to various hospitals for treatment. Tragically, one mentally challenged individual lost their life in the accident.
