So, like, apparently the government spending a whopping 166 crore taka on approving six proposals by the Ministry of Water Resources. I mean, that’s a whole lot of money, right? The whole thing went down at this meeting chaired by Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmad, the economic advisor.

The whole shebang happened at the government’s purchase-related advisory committee meeting, where they gave the green light to six proposals under five packages of the ‘Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management’ project of the Ministry of Water Resources. The total cost for all this work is gonna be a mind-blowing 165 crore, 93 lakh, 18 thousand, and 653 taka.

On Tuesday, at the conference room of the new building in the Secretariat, the government’s purchase-related advisory committee meeting chaired by Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmad gave the thumbs up to these proposals. Like, they approved the completion of the work on package number WD-19/01 of the ‘Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management’ project. The Golam Robbani Construction Limited will be carrying out the project at a cost of 38 crore, 63 lakh, 70 thousand, and 178 taka.

In the meeting, they also gave the green light to the procurement proposal for the completion of the work on package number WD-19/02 of the same project. The Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited, supervised by the Bangladesh Navy, will be implementing the project in Narayanganj at a cost of 33 crore, 91 lakh, 74 thousand, and 528 taka.

Other approved proposals in the meeting include the purchase proposal for the completion of the work on package number WD-14/02 of the same project. Tajwar Trade System Limited will be implementing the project, with costs amounting to 16 crore, 94 lakh, 22 thousand, and 274 taka.

Furthermore, the procurement proposal for the completion of the work on package number WD-14/03 of the same project was also given the go-ahead. Messrs. Amin and Co will be implementing the project in Khulna at a cost of 23 crore, 29 lakh, 13 thousand, and 124 taka.

Additionally, the purchase proposal for the completion of the work on package number WD-14/04 of the project was approved. Messrs. Amir Engineering Corporation will be implementing the project in Barisal at a cost of 34 crore, 8 lakh, 50 thousand, and 339 taka.

So, like, all in all, the government is shelling out some serious cash for these projects. Not really sure why this matters, but it seems like a big deal, right? It’s like they’re investing a ton of money into all these different initiatives. But hey, what do I know? Just reporting the facts here, folks.
