In Dinajpur, the Basundhara Shubhshongho has taken part in the youth fair at Dinajpur Government College. The fair, which started yesterday, will conclude today, spanning two days with the participation of five social organizations, including all departments of Dinajpur Government College.

The event, organized as part of the Tarunno Utsab-2025, aims to foster national unity, build a spirit of mutual cooperation, and celebrate the diversity and culture of Bangladesh. At the fair, Basundhara Shubhshongho has taken the initiative to exchange plastic for a plant sapling as a unique gesture that has garnered praise from visitors.

Environmental Consciousness and Plastic Recycling

Sheikh Mahtabul Haq, the advisor of Dinajpur Government College branch of Basundhara Shubhshongho, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative at the youth fair. He emphasized the importance of plastic recycling in environmental protection, stating that everyone can contribute to creating a healthy and clean environment through such initiatives.

Yasir Arafat Rafi, the joint general editor of the central committee of Basundhara Shubhshongho, highlighted the dual nature of plastic as an indispensable part of our daily lives but also a significant threat to the environment if not properly disposed of. Swapna Ali, the president of Dinajpur Government College branch, mentioned that visitors who recycled plastic at their stall were rewarded with a plant sapling in exchange. She emphasized the importance of new member recruitment and the promotion of Basundhara Shubhshongho’s activities to all visitors.
