During the altercation, Saiful and his younger brother, Ataur Sardar, sought refuge in a nearby mosque as tensions flared. Tragically, the mosque became the scene of a deadly confrontation, resulting in the untimely demise of the two brothers. Several others were injured in the incident and rushed to the Madaripur Sadar Hospital for urgent medical treatment, with three individuals requiring advanced care at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Among the deceased were two brothers, Saiful Sardar and Ataur Sardar, residents of Khwajapur village in the Khwajapur Union of Madaripur Sadar Upazila, while the other victim was Polash Sardar, a nephew of Saiful Sardar and a resident of the same area.
Officer-in-Charge Mokhosedur Rahman emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order in the area, deploying additional police and military personnel to ensure the situation remains under control. With three suspects already in custody, the authorities are working tirelessly to bring all perpetrators to justice.
