new-student-organization-launching-on-wednesday-led-by-whom

A new student organization is set to launch this Wednesday, led by a group of passionate individuals. The initiative, spearheaded by members of the anti-discrimination student movement and the National Citizens Committee, will unveil a national political party on the 28th of February. But before that, the student organization, still unnamed, will make its debut at Dhaka University’s Madhur Canteen.

On Monday night, the organization’s founding members came together for a crucial meeting to finalize the central and Dhaka University committees. Once these committees are established, preparations for the organization’s debut will take place on Tuesday afternoon. The organization’s name is yet to be finalized, amidst discussions and deliberations.

The core committee members revealed that the organization will consist of a large number of students from Dhaka University. However, the central committees are still in the process of formation. Despite this, the launch event at Madhur Canteen on the 26th is expected to be a significant gathering.

As the preparations for the organization’s establishment near completion, it is clear that several key figures will play vital roles. One of the organizers shared that the center and Dhaka University’s top leadership positions have already been decided, ensuring a seamless transition for the organization. The anticipation is high, with the possibility of significant developments looming on the horizon.

The committee structure will include key positions such as Coordinator, Secretary, Chief Organizer, and Spokesperson. Additionally, there will be senior deputy coordinators and deputy secretaries, with multiple members in other leadership roles. Typically, students from Dhaka University’s 2018-19 batch or senior classes are expected to join the central committee, while newer batches will participate in the future.

Abu Bakar Mozumdar, a prominent figure in the anti-discrimination student movement, will assume the role of Coordinator within the organization. His involvement in past student organizations, along with his commitment to social justice, makes him a fitting choice for the position. Similarly, Jahid Ahsan, currently serving as the Editor of the student movement’s departmental cell, will take on the role of Secretary.

On the other hand, Tahmid Al Muddassir Chowdhury, a member of the debating society and the co-vice president of Dhaka University’s World Religion and Culture Department, will assume the role of Chief Organizer. With his extensive experience in student politics and his role as a key figure in the One Bangladesh platform, he is well-equipped for the position.

As for the Spokesperson position, it will be filled by Ashrafa Khatun, a student from the International Relations Department’s 2018-19 session. Her active involvement in the anti-discrimination student movement highlights her ability to effectively communicate the organization’s message.

With a diverse group of individuals taking on leadership roles, the organization is poised to make a significant impact in the student community. Stay tuned for further updates as the organization’s name and structure are finalized. The launch event promises to be a pivotal moment in the student political landscape.
