The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, January 19th, around 2:30 PM in the Bagurpara village of Hatibandha Union in Singra.
Local residents and a member of the local UP, Rezaul Islam, revealed that due to domestic conflicts, Abdul Malek often subjected his wife, Parveen Begum, to physical abuse. Last week, when Parveen was allegedly beaten by her husband, the family tried to resolve the matter internally.
However, on Sunday afternoon, Parveen was once again assaulted, leading to her falling ill. She was rushed to Natore Sadar Hospital where the medical staff declared her dead upon arrival.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Singra Police Station, Asmaul Haque, stated that determining the exact cause of the housewife’s death is not possible without a post-mortem examination. An investigation will be conducted, and necessary actions will be taken accordingly. As of now, no formal complaints have been lodged at the police station regarding this matter.
