Empowering Youth for a Better Bangladesh

Success in any competition hinges on the right focus, according to District Administrator Farida Khan of Chittagong. She emphasized that participation itself is the true victory, as demonstrated by the spirited young students joining the anti-discrimination movement on the field with unknown outcomes but clear targets for success. Indeed, with the proper focus, victory is inevitable. The youth of today will shape the future of Bangladesh in the way they envision it.

Building a Prosperous Nation

On Wednesday morning, a workshop titled ‘New Bangladesh in the Vision of Youth’ was organized by the district administration and attended by LGED, DPHE, and Chittagong District Council under the careful supervision of Farida Khan. She highlighted the need for youth to pave the way for our future. Through education and work, they will be molded for the betterment of Bangladesh. The workshop’s keynote speaker, Chief Engineer of LGED Chittagong, Kazi Golam Mostafa, stressed that the future of Bangladesh lies in the strength of its youth, who will bring about liberation, equality, and enduring human dignity in this nation.

Empowering Youth Voices

The workshop’s special guests included Mohammad Hasan Ali, Executive Engineer of LGED Chittagong; Nomon Hossen, Deputy Director of Local Government; Polash Chandra Das, Executive Engineer of DPHE Chittagong; Didarul Alam, Deputy Director of the District Council; and Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Additional District Administrator. Students engaged in presentations covering various topics such as tourism opportunities and challenges, citizens’ rights, decentralization of voting systems, remittance warriors in elections, proper constitution formation, corruption-free society, quota-free jobs, easy access to bus and plane tickets, agricultural development, fair prices for farmers, traffic laws, advancement of digital education, enhancement of students’ skills, and assurance of good governance.

A Glimpse of Success

In a ‘Best Idea’ presentation, students from different educational institutions in the sub-districts secured top positions, with Satkania sub-district ranking first, Sandwip sub-district second, and Lohagara sub-district third. Similarly, in the municipal level, Raozan municipality ranked first, Satkania municipality second, and Mirsharai municipality third. District Administrator Farida Khan awarded certificates to all participating students, celebrating their contribution to the event.

The event concluded with a vision of a prosperous Bangladesh led by empowered youth, setting the stage for a brighter tomorrow. As we look ahead, it is clear that the youth of today will shape the destiny of the nation with their unwavering determination and commitment to progress.
