Fourteen students were injured in an attack by Awami League workers in Gazipur, Bangladesh. The incident took place in front of the residence of Mozammel Haque, the Minister of Liberation War Affairs, amid a clash between opposition students and supporters of the ruling party. Subsequently, members of the Awami League, including leaders, workers, and supporters, launched an attack on the students, resulting in injuries to at least 14 individuals. The injured students were later taken to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving the news, law enforcement, and military personnel swiftly arrived at the scene to restore order. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Rabiul Islam stated that the attack was in response to an attempted break-in at the former minister’s residence by opposition students. The Awami League members retaliated by assaulting the students, leading to the injuries sustained by the 14 individuals. The matter is currently under investigation, with legal action pending.
