Monthly Crime Meeting of the DMP: Recognizing Outstanding Officers
In a recent monthly crime meeting held at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Mo. Sajjad Ali recognized various police officers for their exceptional work in maintaining law and order in the city. The meeting, which took place on Monday, January 13th, 2025, saw officers from different departments being honored for their dedication and commitment to their duties.
Top Performers by Department
At the meeting, it was revealed that the Uttara Division emerged as the top-performing division within the Crime Department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Specifically, Uttara West Police Station was recognized as the best performing police station in the division. Assistant Police Commissioner Saddam Hossain from Uttara Zone was honored as the top-performing Assistant Police Commissioner, while Inspector Mohammad Nazmul Hasan from Uttara West Police Station was recognized as the best Police Inspector.
In addition, Sub-Inspectors Jahirul Islam from the Bimanbandar Police Station and Kazi Jahidur Rahman Abir from the Bannai Police Station were jointly selected as the best Sub-Inspectors. The title of Best Warrant Officer went to Sub-Inspector Kazi Jahidur Rahman Abir from the Bannai Police Station for his exceptional performance in recovering weapons.
Outstanding Achievements Across Divisions
Moving on to the Detective Department, the Detective-Lalbagh Division was highlighted as the top-performing division. Assistant Police Commissioner Enayet Kabir Sohag, who led the Illegal Weapons Recovery and Drug Control Team, was recognized as the best team leader. He was also selected as the best team leader for drug recovery operations. Assistant Police Commissioner Md. Nazrul Islam from the Detective-Gulshan Division was honored as the best team leader for illegal weapons recovery and drug control.
Within the Traffic Department, the Traffic-Uttara Division was celebrated for its exceptional performance. Assistant Police Commissioner Abu Sayem Noyon from the Gulshan-Traffic Zone was named the top Assistant Police Commissioner in the Traffic Department. Traffic Inspector Mohammad Atiqur Rahman from the Kotwali Traffic Zone and Sergeants Mohammad Bayezid Hossain from the Gulshan-Traffic Zone and Mohammad Khalilur Rahman from the Uttara-Traffic Zone were jointly selected as the best Traffic Sergeants.

The event was overseen by a group of esteemed police commissioners, including Commissioner Sheikh Mo. Sajjad Ali, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Mr. Sarwar, Additional Police Commissioner (Admin) Faruk Ahmed, Additional Police Commissioner (Detective) Rezaul Karim Mallik, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) S. N. Nazrul Islam, Additional Police Commissioner (City C) Mr. Masud Karim, Deputy Police Commissioners, Assistant Police Commissioners, Officers-in-Charge from all DMP stations, and various other police officers.
